Headaches
Chinese medicine believes that the cause of headaches is from exogenous internal injuries. Exogenous injuries can be caused by the imbalance of blood flow and other issues with the liver, spleen and kidney.

Neck and Shoulder Pain
Shoulder and neck pain mainly manifest itself in the upper circumference of the back and the neck. It can be felt as very tight pain and can cause limited rotational movements. Severe cases of shoulder and neck pain will cause arm numbness or radiation pain.
Treatment of Shoulder and Neck pain revolves mainly around the use of acupuncture and moxibustion. These treatments are used in conjunction with scalp needles, sputum needles, auricular acupuncture and scraping/cupping. Back pain can be caused by labor injuries or kidney deficiencies from lack of blood flow and qi. The most common back pain stems from waist dystrophy and will cause little to severe waist pain.
